Post Profit have just released a deluxe edition of their Self Defeater EP, doubling the original track listing with the addition of six live in-studio performances. A live video for one of those new tracks, a performance of “Two Toxic”, has just been made available. As with the EP itself, the production of these live performances was overseen by producer Machine (Lamb Of God, Clutch) at his own The Machine Shop Studio.
The Eas Texas-based alternative metal band offered:
“We are so excited to release a deluxe of the EP so people could hear these songs in a different light. We always tend to add various elements to our songs when we play them live. The feel of the songs translate a lot differently.
The studio versions were recorded with Machine, so he understood the ins and outs of every song and was the perfect candidate to capture the nuances of a more raw recording. With transitions and arrangements that have been made over time, it brings a genuine feeling of excitement, like we’re playing the songs for the first time again.”
